Design & Build

The turn down collar is the middle option between a standing B3 fur collar and a flat lapel. Turned up it closes around your neck like a traditional aviator. Turned down it folds flat like a coat. You get both, and you choose depending on the weather rather than at the point of purchase.

The cuffs are shearling with an open hem, which means they sit loose rather than gripping your wrist. That lets you push the sleeve up, wear a watch over the top, or get a glove underneath rather than over. It also means the shearling is visible at the wrist, which is where you see the lining on a jacket that is otherwise plain black.

Black is the version that reads as a leather jacket rather than vintage aviation. Most B3 jackets are brown and look like costume unless the rest of the outfit supports them. This one does not have that problem.

The shell is real sheepskin leather. The lining is faux shearling, which keeps the weight down and needs no specialist cleaning. Four pockets, two outside and two inside.

How it is worn
