Design & Build

The cuffs zip. On a padded jacket that is more useful than it sounds. Quilted sleeves are bulky by nature, and a plain elasticated cuff either grips your wrist too tightly or lets cold air run straight up your arm. A zip lets you close the cuff properly over a glove, or open it to get a watch through without fighting the sleeve.

There are four pockets. Two zipped on the body and two inside. Zipped outer pockets matter on a bike because open ones cannot hold anything once you are moving, and the two interior pockets take a wallet and a phone where they will not press against you when you lean forward.

The shell is 100% genuine lamb leather. Lamb is the softest of the common hides, which is what you want on a quilted jacket. A stiffer hide fights the loft of the padding underneath and the jacket ends up feeling like a shell rather than something you can move in.

It is cut on our unisex block, so it works for both men and women. If you normally wear womenswear sizing, measure yourself against the chart below rather than converting a size across.

How it is worn

Over a hoodie or knit, with denim and boots. Brown quilted leather is warmer in tone than black and reads less like sportswear, so it sits well with cream, olive and indigo. Cuffs open over a watch, closed over a glove.
