Design & Build

Most B3 jackets come in brown. This one is black, which changes what it is for. Brown reads as vintage aviation, and it looks like costume unless the rest of the outfit supports it. Black reads as a leather jacket that happens to have a fur collar, and it goes with what you already own.

The buckles are what make it work on a bike. The neckline buckle holds the fur closed across your throat instead of letting it flap at speed. The waist buckle cinches the hem so cold air is not forced up inside the jacket while you are moving. Both were on the wartime originals and most modern copies leave them off because they cost money to fit.

The cuffs zip. On a fur lined sleeve that matters, because the sleeve is bulkier than a plain one and a fixed cuff either grips your wrist or leaves a gap. A zip closes it over a glove or opens to get a watch through.

The shell is 100% genuine sheepskin leather. The lining is faux shearling throughout, which keeps the weight down compared with real wool and needs no specialist care.
