Design & Build

Goatskin is the unusual choice here and it is the reason the jacket holds its shape. Goat hide has a tighter grain than sheep or lamb, which means it resists stretching at the elbows and shoulders where a softer hide goes baggy. At 1.1mm it is still light enough to move in. The trade off is that it takes longer to break in.

The cracked beige finish is what you notice first. Cracking is a controlled crazing of the surface dye, so the pale colour breaks over a darker base. It gives the jacket depth that a flat beige never has, and it means no two panels look quite the same.

Two belt straps run down each arm. They are not decoration. Pulled in they hold the sleeve close so it does not balloon with air, which on a slim cut jacket keeps the line clean at speed.

Two belt loops at the collar close the jacket completely at the throat. Most bombers stop at the zip and leave a gap there.

The fur is a cotton polyester blend, so it is faux rather than real. Two outer pockets with zips.

How it is worn

Beige is the loudest thing in any outfit it joins, so keep everything else dark. Black or indigo denim, brown boots. Collar loops fastened in wind, open otherwise. Because it is slim cut, wear a thin knit underneath rather than a thick one.
