Design & Build

Most B3 jackets are brown, and brown is the problem. The B3 shape is unmistakable, so in its traditional colour it reads as costume unless the rest of what you are wearing supports it. Black keeps the shape and drops the reference. It becomes a leather jacket with a fur collar rather than a museum piece.

The lining is shearling throughout, not just at the collar. That is what separates a real B3 from a bomber with a fur trim stitched on. Shearling is wool still attached to the hide, so it insulates the whole body of the jacket rather than decorating the neck.

The collar is shearling too, which is the part that does the work when you are moving. Wind gets in at the neck before anywhere else.
