Design & Build

This is the classic B3 in the colour combination most people picture when they think of one. Brown leather, beige fur. It has been the standard since the 1930s for a simple reason: the two tones sit close enough to look like one jacket rather than two halves, but far enough apart that the collar still reads as a collar.

The lining runs 15mm thick throughout. Most padded jackets use 5 to 8mm, so this is roughly double, and it is what you feel first when you pick the jacket up.

The shell is real lambskin with a Nappa finish. Nappa is the softest way to finish a hide, which matters on a jacket this heavily lined. Without it the whole thing would feel like a shell rather than a coat.

Fit adjusts at three points. A buckle strap under the collar holds the fur shut across your throat at speed. One buckle on each side takes the body in. Waist buckles close the hem so cold air is not pushed up inside while you ride. Every seam is reinforced and the zip is heavy duty.
