The Blacktop Gear Dark Copper B3 Bomber is a men's aviator jacket in real lambskin with a Napa finish and a dark copper vintage colourway, lined with ivory faux shearling, with buckle straps under the collar, adjustable waist buckles, full leather trim and a heavy-duty brass zip. Design & Build
Dark copper is why this one costs more. It is not a standard brown, it is a deep reddish tan that shifts under different light, and getting it even across a whole hide takes more work and more waste than a flat colour. Against the ivory lining the contrast is the strongest of any B3 we make.
The build is our full-specification B3. Buckle straps under the collar pull the fur closed across your throat so it does not flap at speed. Adjustable waist buckles cinch the hem so cold air is not pushed up inside the jacket while you ride. Both were on the wartime originals; most modern copies drop them because they cost money to make.
Trim is full leather, not PVC. That matters at the cuffs and hem where a jacket takes the most rubbing, PVC trim cracks, leather wears in. The zip is heavy-duty brass, and every seam is reinforced.
The shell is real lambskin with a Napa finish, soft from the first wear. The lining is ivory faux shearling, thick and soft throughout. Two slanted hand-warmer pockets.

How it is worn
Over a heavy sweater, dark denim, brown boots. Dark copper is a warm tone with red in it, so avoid burgundy and bright red alongside it, cream, tan, olive and indigo all work. Collar buckled shut when cold.

What colour is dark copper?
A deep reddish tan that shifts under different light, warmer than chocolate brown, darker than tan. It is harder to get even across a hide than a flat colour, which is part of why this jacket costs more.
Is the leather real?
Yes, real lambskin with a Napa finish. The shearling lining and fur collar are faux.
Why faux shearling rather than real wool?
It is lighter, easier to look after and keeps the price from climbing further. Real shearling is warmer but considerably heavier.
What are the collar straps for?
They pull the fur collar closed across your throat so it does not flap open at speed, a detail from the original flight jackets that most modern copies leave out.
Leather trim or PVC?
Full leather. PVC trim is cheaper but cracks at the cuffs and hem, which is where a jacket takes the most rubbing.
