Design & Build

From the outside this reads as a plain black club vest. The character is on the inside: a gold paisley lining runs through the body and shows in a thin band at the neck opening and around the armholes, picked up by gold thread stitched along every seam and pocket edge. It is the kind of detail only you and the rider next to you notice, which is the point of a vest built for colours rather than for show.

The two inside concealed-carry pockets sit deep against the body with snap closures, one on each side, so a carry piece rides flat and does not print through the leather. Alongside them are an inside slip pocket on the right and an inside zip pocket on the left for a phone, wallet or documents you want closed in.

The back is a single piece of hide with no centre seam and nothing printed on it, so a three-piece patch set sits flat and square with no ridge running down the middle. Rounded armholes and a leather-trimmed neck keep the edges from chafing when you are leaning forward on the bars.

The shell is naked cowhide, 1.1–1.2mm, soft to the touch but heavy enough to take years of riding. The front closes with a zip backed by a snap-fastened storm flap, so the wind does not find the teeth. Two snap-flap chest pockets and two open hand pockets at the waist round out the storage.
