Design & Build

The gun pockets here are built, not improvised. Most concealed carry vests give you a fabric pocket and let you work out the rest. These have holsters sewn in and snap closures, and they are cut large enough to take a full-size 1911-frame pistol rather than only a compact. If you carry a full-size sidearm, that is the difference between this vest working and not.

The snaps are hidden behind the front panel and the chest pockets. Exposed snap heads catch on tank bags and scratch paintwork; concealed ones do not, and the front reads as clean leather instead of hardware.

The closure is zip and snap together. Zip it for a closed fit at speed, snap it for a relaxed one off the bike, or run both. A single-closure vest gives you one look.

The hide is a heavier, finer grade cowhide than we use on the entry vests, in a beige brown that sits between tan and chocolate. It is a colour that hides road dust far better than black does.

How riders wear it

What size pistol will the holsters take?
They are cut for a full-frame pistol, a 1911-size sidearm fits. Compacts fit comfortably with room to spare.

Are the holsters sewn in or removable?
Sewn in, with snap closures. That is what separates this from vests that give you a plain pocket and leave the rest to you.

Why hide the snaps?

How does the leather compare to your cheaper vests?
It is a heavier, finer grade. The entry vests use good cowhide at 1.1 to 1.2mm; this one is thicker and holds its shape better across the shoulders.

Does beige brown show dirt?
Less than black does. Road dust sits invisibly on a mid-brown and shows clearly on black.

Can I add club patches to the back?
Yes. The back is a single patch-ready panel with no seam through the middle.
