Design & Build

The distressed finish is the reason to pick this one over a plain B3. A new leather jacket announces itself as new; this one arrives already looking like it has been flown in. The finish is worked into the hide at the shoulders, elbows and front edges, the places a jacket naturally wears, so it reads as honest ageing rather than a uniform wash.

Underneath the finish it is a proper B3: the sheepskin bomber pattern RAF and USAAF crews wore in unheated aircraft, with a deep fur-lined collar that closes off the gap at your neck. That collar is where most of the cold gets in, and it is the difference between a jacket that looks warm and one that is.

The shell is real sheep leather. The lining is fur throughout, with pockets set into it. A sturdy zip closes the front, and there are two side waist pockets for your hands.
