Design & Build

The finish is the first thing you notice. This is a distressed brown — a hand-rubbed antique effect where the high points wear lighter and the seams and edges hold a darker tan, so every jacket looks broken in from the first day and keeps ageing from there. The shell is genuine lambskin, soft and supple, cut in a slim café-racer shape that sits close without pinching across the shoulders.

The front is a double zipper. An outer zip closes the jacket while an inner quilted storm panel carries its own zip behind it, so the wind stops at the placket and you can layer the closure two ways. The stand collar fastens with a snap tab to close out the draught, and its underside and the shoulder yokes carry a diamond-quilted panel that lifts the plain brown.

Storage is heavy for a jacket this size: two horizontal zip chest pockets sit above two snap-flap chest pockets, with two zip hand pockets lower down at the waist.
