The polyester fill is worth understanding rather than skipping past. Synthetic insulation is not as warm per gram as goose down, but it has two advantages that matter on a bike. It keeps insulating when it gets damp, and it needs no specialist cleaning. Down collapses when wet and stops working until it dries out. If you ride in rain, synthetic is the more practical choice.

The shell is 100% genuine lambskin with a distressed finish, so it arrives looking worn in rather than showroom new. On a quilted jacket that matters. A glossy new puffer reads as fashion, a distressed one reads as something you actually own.

Hardware is antique brass rather than chrome or plated steel. It suits the dark brown, and it dulls to a deeper tone with age instead of flaking back to base metal.

YKK zips on the front and on both hand pockets. Zipped hand pockets mean nothing falls out at speed, which open pockets cannot promise. Interior chest pockets and a full polyester lining.
