Design & Build

A padded vest solves a problem a padded jacket creates. Insulation across the chest and back is what keeps you warm; insulation down the arms is what stops you moving on the bars. This keeps the first and drops the second, so you can wear it under a leather jacket without the shoulders bunching, or on its own over a hoodie in autumn.

The waxed finish is the detail worth paying for. Wax sits into the surface of the lambskin and gives it a light water resistance that plain leather does not have, plus a depth of colour that shifts as the light moves. It also darkens at the wear points over time rather than just scuffing.

The hide is 100% genuine lambskin, which matters on a quilted garment: a stiff hide fights the loft of the padding and makes the whole thing feel like a shell. Lambskin moves with it.
