Design & Build
Chestnut against ivory is the reason to pick this one. Most B3s come in brown with brown fur, which reads as one solid mass at a distance. The contrast here separates the collar from the body and gives the jacket a shape that a single tone does not.
Chestnut is also a colour that improves. It is lighter than a standard brown, so sunlight and handling deepen it over the years rather than just dulling it.
The fit adjusts in three places. Buckle straps under the collar, two side straps on the body, and buckles at the waist. That is more adjustment than most flight jackets offer, and it matters if you wear the same jacket over a t-shirt in autumn and a heavy knit in January.
The shell is real lambskin with a Nappa finish, soft from the first day. The lining is ivory faux shearling, thick and soft throughout. Trim is leather rather than PVC, which is what stops the cuffs and hem cracking after a couple of seasons. The zip is heavy duty brass and every seam is reinforced.

Is the leather real?
Yes. The shell is real lambskin with a Nappa finish. The shearling lining and fur collar are faux.
How is chestnut different from standard brown?
It is lighter and warmer in tone. Against the ivory fur it gives the jacket visible shape, where brown on brown tends to read as one solid mass at a distance.
Will the colour fade?
It deepens rather than fades. Lighter hides take on colour from sunlight and handling over the years.
