Design & Build

Black on black is safe. This vest does the opposite: red thread on black crocodile-embossed hide, with the diamond pattern picked out in the same red across the sides, back and shoulders. From a distance it reads as a black vest; up close the stitching is the whole point.

Because the detail is thread rather than a print or a panel, it does not fade, peel or lift. As the leather darkens with age the red stays where it is, so the contrast actually gets stronger.

The crocodile grain is embossed into the hide rather than printed on top, which is why it holds depth instead of flattening out with wear. Underneath it is soft-touch naked cowhide.

Inside, red and black paisley sublimated into the lining, sublimated rather than printed, so it will not crack. Two concealed carry pockets with straps and button-snap retention sit on both sides for either draw hand. YKK zips throughout.

Will the red stitching fade?
No. It is thread, not a print or a dyed panel, so there is nothing to peel or lift. As the black leather darkens with age the contrast tends to get stronger rather than weaker.

Is the crocodile pattern printed?
No. It is embossed into the hide, so it holds its depth rather than flattening out with wear.

Does it have concealed carry pockets?
Yes, two, one on each side, with straps and button-snap retention so it works for either draw hand.

Will the paisley lining crack?
No. The pattern is sublimated into the lining rather than printed on top of it.

How do I care for embossed leather?
Wipe with a barely damp cloth and condition every 6 to 12 months. Do not soak it, water sitting in the grain is what dulls an embossed finish.
