Design & Build

An aviator jacket with a hood is unusual, and there is a practical reason it should be more common. The original B3 pattern has a big fur collar and nothing above it, which was fine in a cockpit and leaves your head bare everywhere else. A hood fixes that.

This one comes off. That matters because a hood is genuinely useful in rain and genuinely in the way under a helmet or a rucksack strap. Take it off and you have a clean aviator jacket. Put it back when the weather turns.

The hood has a drawstring, so it pulls in around your face rather than sitting loose and catching wind.

Buckle straps at the collar and the hem do the rest. The collar strap holds the fur closed across your throat. The hem strap cinches the bottom so cold air is not pushed up inside the jacket while you are moving.

The shell is 100% genuine sheepskin leather. The lining is faux shearling, which keeps the weight sensible on a women's cut.

How it is worn
