Design & Build

Dark brown is the version to buy if you want the jacket to look old. Brown leather takes light differently to black. It shows the grain, it picks up the wear at the elbows and cuffs, and after a couple of winters it looks like something you inherited rather than bought. Black stays flat and even.

Our black version of this jacket is the quieter buy. This one is the one with history in it.

Three buckles, at the collar, the cuffs and the hem. Each shuts a gap that cold air uses. The collar buckle holds the fur closed across your throat. The cuff buckles close over a glove. The hem buckle cinches the bottom so air is not forced up inside while you are moving.

The zip runs at an angle rather than up the middle, so the leather overlaps across your chest instead of meeting edge to edge. No cold seam down the front.

The shell is 100% genuine sheepskin leather. The lining is faux shearling, which keeps the weight sensible on a women's cut.

How it is worn

How do I care for sheepskin leather?
